Q:
KANNIKS: Umm, I have been teaching Indian music theory and history at the College Conservatory of Music, CCM, University of Cincinnati since 1994 and it’s a greatly enjoyable experience and again going back into the context of who I am as a musician part of it or most of it is about sharing what I know with a wider circle of people and with each share we all grow. And, it’s very gratifying to see some of my students becoming faculty at other universities where they teach courses of musicology and include what they have taught or what they have learned in my class. RESTATE
Well, umm, the teaching and the sharing happens with a choir, it happens with my daughter as well as other people that take private lessons from me, uh, it happens at a level of appreciating the nuances of a composition, umm, it also happens when I share musical tidbits with, uh, a choir that I work with and it happens in a very formal structured way into the graduate class that I teach at CCM at UC.
