City Cinematheque; Film: "Everything For Sale"
- Transcript
The following presentation of City Cinem attack is made possible in part by the Polish Cultural Institute of New York. Welcome to City Cinem attack, where the art and pleasure of the movies are the subject of serious discussion. I'm your host, Jerry Carlson, and I teach film studies at the City College of the City University of New York. Today, it's our pleasure to present the 1969 Polish production, Everything for Sale, directed by Anjay Vida.
This is a film that joins the company of Felini's 8 and a half, and Truffos, Day for Night, in examining the filmmaking process itself. And today, we offer this film in memory of El Sabeta Chichefzka, one of the most distinguished actresses of the Polish stage and screen of the post-war era. This is one of her peak performances. So now, please enjoy Anjay Vida's Everything for Sale.
