- Description
- Episode Description
- Elfin learns that there are still many things in the world that Man knows very little about. Mr. Murgle and the elf take an imaginary journey to Stonehenge, ancient Egypt, Petra, and the remarkable Easter Island in the Pacific. Someday they will find the answer to these mysteries, remarks Mr. Murgle, for didnt they uncover the mysteries of Egypt with the Rosetta stone? Perhaps, they will uncover other Rosetta stones to solve many of the other mysteries of the past. (Description adapted from documents in the NET Microfiche)
- Series Description
- Mr. Murgles Musee is WKAR-TVs popular program for youngsters. Mr. Murgle is a puppet who explains some of the wonders of the world to a less sophisticated friend, Mr. Elfin. Through a special arrangement, Mr. Murgle has been able to obtain access to the Michigan State University museum and he often has objects of interest to children to demonstrate to Mr. Elfin. By means of a time spinner he is also able to take Mr. Elfin back through history to important events of the past. The series is produced by WKAR-TV program director, Ken Richards. The 26 fifteen minutes episodes that comprise the series as distributed by NET were originally recorded on videotape. (Description adapted from documents in the NET Microfiche)
