When the county voted to go dry in 1903, the women's Christian Temperance Union built this magnificent building to house their chapter. The city library also calls WCTU Building Home. On the road again, if you're driving through St. Annette, be sure to check out the courthouse building at 609 McKenzie. Hutchinson County has had three courthouses, 1901, 1926, and 1927. A 1982 renovation of the 1927 building eliminated the rooftop jail and sheriff's quarters. If you know of an interesting historic building in your community, get in touch with us at hppr.org.
