An American town a self-portrait. It's hard to tell when the white man came that's a matter of great debate. What is it 16 three hundred fifty or this is about the limit before the white man came here. In record numbers. This is the first in a series of programs on the history of the Hayward area located in the northwest part of Wisconsin and encompassing the Kuta re Indian reservation. The title of the program is we live by nature. And most of the interviews are with residents of the reservation. But first we'll review briefly the explorations of various white men in the area.
