I'm happy to introduce our guest lecturer for today's session. She is Joan Kachina Hart a fellow tribes woman from my tribe the Menominee Indian tribe. There is so much that I'd like to tell you about but I know that you want to get on with the session and so I'll be unnecessarily brief in my introduction. Joan Hart is from a very distinguished family in our reservation a family of chiefs and family members have played a very important role in Menominee tribal affairs. I became acquainted with Joan most recently in our work to achieve Menominee restoration. But as we said earlier that was a lifetime ago. She was very active in our dreams organization did pound the streets in Chicago
