For the weekend, a March 14, Missouri 7 reported one new case of COVID-19, according to their online dashboard. Since last fall, the university has accounted for 280 student cases and 45 involving faculty and staff. The Bryan Health Center at Pittsburgh State reports consecutive weeks of no new cases on campus. A continuing low number of COVID-19 cases at Pitt State and Missouri 7 is a part of a larger picture across Kansas and Missouri. 20.5% of Kansas residents have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, according to state data at Kansasvaccine.com. The Missouri Department of Health reports that about 20% of all Missouri residents have received at least one dose. Tomorrow, Missouri Governor Mike Parsons will hold the press conference at Arrowhead Stadium, announcing its opening as a mass vaccination site. For KRPS, I'm Fred Fletcher-Fierro in Web City.
