Here and Now, wisconsin shares, Henry Wilde - Deputy Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of children and families making the connection between fraud and quality. SOT, expelling Jeff Wood from legislature, Representative Jeff Wood's (I - Chippewa Falls) future is on the line after one drunk driving and two driving under the influence arrests in a one year. He's contesting the D-U-I charges -- including the arrest caught on the squad-car camera -- having been given prescription medications while in alcohol treatment. Special Committee on Ethics and Standards of conduct heard from Wood on Wednesday. A vote whether to expell Wood from the Assembly or take some lesser action is still pending. Whitewater Republican Steve Nass is not a committee member but he has led the charge at the Capitol to expell Representative Wood. Interview with Nass had 3 Wood SOTs rolled into it., Wisconsin Shares child care program in Milwaukee # 2, Wisconsin Secretary of Children and Families, Reggie Bicha, says 'the jig is up' for fraudulent childcare providers. Tonight, part two of our series on the Wisconsin Shares Child care program with a look at how investigators cracked the code and then cracked down on the childcare fraud. Tag has SOT from Shanquill Merriwether, Suspended Day Care Provider, deer count study, Deer hunters upset they didn't see enough deer during the fall hunting season. They blamed the population estimates the Department of Natural Resources uses to determine the rules for individual deer herd management units around the state. New study the D-N-R is beginning to see if there's a better way of counting deer. Joining us to talk about this is Keith Warnke, Big Game Ecologist with the D-N-R., Capitol Insight - BadgerCare Plus Basic, State-run healthcare program called BadgerCare Plus Basic is the plan for people who ended up on the waiting list for BadgerCare Core that provides health insurance for low income adults with no children. The basic plan is funded by the people on it, through a 130-dollar premium and co-pays. The income cut-off for BadgerCare basic is just over 21-thousand 600-dollars for a single person or just over 29-thousand for a couple. WIsconsin Public Radio state government reporter, Shawn Johnson joins in. Includes Bobby Peterson, Dir., ABC for Health SOT about BadgerCare Plus Basic.
