Joplin COVID-19 Update

According to the Missouri Department of Health, and its peak two weeks ago, the state was inoculating an average of 52,000 residents per day, with a high of 81,000 on April 9. That average has fallen from 52,000 vaccines shots per day, so now just under 25,000 per day, likely driven by the lack of the Johnson & Johnson one shot COVID-19 vaccine. On Friday of the state announced that the shot is now once again available to residents, we're with it as claimed that it could cause blood clots and even death. If you want a COVID-19 vaccine, the City of Joplin is holding a clinic tomorrow from 8.30 a.m. until 1.30 p.m., the event scheduled for up to 500 patients will provide the first shot of the two shot Moderna vaccine.
