Its hard to think of a line that New Hampshire born comedian and actress Sarah Silverman wont cross. Her blunt, off-color humor made her an underground comedy star, and landed her a three-season run as lead actress and producer of the Sarah Silverman Program on Comedy Central. Her jokes about blacks, gays, Arabs, and Jews, expose racism and prejudice for what they are. She combines crassness with a sweet persona that comes off as if she doesnt realize shes being offensive. Sarah Silvermans new memoir The Bedwetter: Stories of Courage, Redemption, and Pee charts some high and low points in her life with humor and candor. She includes stories of her long struggle with bedwetting, bouts with teenage depression, rampant early adult promiscuity, and offending the Vatican, Asian-Americans, Holocaust survivors and just about every other minority group. She also writes about growing up in Bedford and Manchester, New Hampshires small Jewish community. We asked her what that was like to be in the minority.
