Episode Description
This episode of the series "En Francais" from February 8, 1987, features James Fontenot's interview with Jean Crepeau, a classical guitarist, composer, and music historian from Lafayette, who discusses musical traditions during the Renaissance. Crepeau also performs several songs on the lute and guitar, including: Pavane, "Belle Qui Tiens Ma Vie"; Tourdion; Basse Dance, "La Brosse"; Chanson, "Tant Que Vivray"; Pavane; Gaillard; La Volta; Le Trotto; La Rotta; and Premiere Niege '76. Fontenot accompanies Crepeau on "Belle Qui Tiens Ma Vie."
