- HE WIZARD OF FLINT examines the life of one of America's greatest entreprenuers, William C. Durant. A carriage maker from Flint, Michigan, Durant took over an ailing Buick Motor Company in 1904 and used it to start General Motors four years later. He went on to lose control of General Motors and then win control back five years later. Durant lost control of GM a second time in 1920. Broke, Durant's final comeback happened on Wall Street where he was known as the " Bull of Bulls," amassing a fortune of nearly $100 million.
