News Report on Sannyasins in Antelope (Oregon) + Raw Footage of Prison Interview with Criminal on Murder Charges

In mid-September Saturday 900 residents of Eugene showed Governor Barbour Roberts an antelope in the first place. Never should have been an issue. Those who are American citizens have just as much right as you want to become involved in the political process in this country. So despite what you may have read or heard or watched to the contrary there is still been no proof according to the ACLU and others that this and the Aussies did anything illegal unconstitutional or in violation of anyone's rights by becoming involved in this small town in eastern Oregon. That's our position at this time. We're not saying that there haven't been just simply that we've had no factual evidence that would lead us to conclude that. I will say that they everything they have done is legal it's done legally. We tried. To say lawyers keep it the way we wanted you had it. The way it should be. But as I say we got no help.
And finally it got to the point where we couldn't find him within him with to understand what has happened in Antelope you first must make a distinction between what goes on there and what happens at the Raj owned ranch. For one thing antelope is not in or near the sun JASA is gone you know some 17 miles divide the two and the controversy and questions surrounding the Raj own city will not necessarily apply to an allopath. Raj is a newly incorporated city and wasn't grouper bison Jasa and antelope was incorporated in 1981 and send ya some to have been legally elected to run the town or whether the Oregon and united states constitutions permit such a community to exercise governmental power. So Attorney General day from Miers controversial opinion questioning whether Russia can exist because of alleged church versus state violations may or may not apply to other cities that the Russian issues have become involved in.
It's important to keep in mind that antelope and Rosneft prom are two completely separate cities. So questions being probed about Ross Perot will not necessarily apply to Antelope as well although the issue is far from black and white. It's time the people start realizing that some Americans are in trouble and we are in the position and they have put us all in the position is if you oppose us we will see you. And that's what we're facing. We like to have the same guarantees that the Constitution was promising everybody what was written up and the people were screaming about. And to me that everything is exactly what they are doing to watch the rights are the same for both. It just happens that there are more just as you may have real differences in a city and let's say it's partisan politics. And if you have more Republicans than Democrats you're
probably going to have a Republican Council. Still these people feel they have been wrong with many of their friends and neighbors have moved away from the area since the OSM controlled city council came to power. And some are not going to take this sitting down. Timer Jim Albright didn't get involved until recently. This day in November he took a stand. The only business in Antelope the city Austin's own restaurant for 13 hours straight. His one man protest is against a private security patrol hired by the commune to survey property in Antelope where you can go down and look where they board the grass at near. Looking at my face and I just I just couldn't stand it anymore and they won't say nothing but I will think that they're doing that just to be on me it's all no raisin reason they're going to watch Margaret's Place for and they know it too but they just do it for
just makers. She gets upset anyway so you have got lawsuits and if they can answer just the idea they want to agitate. Well I'm just told before when they get me against them they never had nobody like me. However bothersome the patrol itself probably doesn't violate any of the antelope rights. I can't think how it could be after all the city of Portland has police cars about marked and unmarked. I think their problem is strictly political but it's a little difficult to get a candidate elected when you're outnumbered more than two to one. At last count there were about a dozen longtime analog presidents left from the original forty five this and you also and on the other hand claim there are 60 or more of their followers living in the area and if they don't like what's happening then. I mean one option that's available with them is to live somewhere else and I have been aware I worked hard to get this. It isn't much I'll grant you that but it's
ours. If we sell it who would buy it in the first place. And this sort of change happens everywhere around the world all the time and what gets blown out of proportion and envelope is beyond me. I mean every inner city neighborhood in America has gone through a much more dramatic change than the 25 people in the envelope have gone through. But you have to remember that in more than 80 years of existence and hasn't been what you call an urban area before this and you became involved in the town the budget for one year was less than 10000 dollars additional revenue the town may have needed was raised at community events and townspeople never saw a need to institute a city tax with a bigger budget. Again the city's first tax of $14 and 61 cents for one thousand dollars of assessed valuation for Betty Anderson and her husband. That means more than a $200 tax bill for this year alone. Anderson and others wonder why analog really needed to meet the 20th
century in the first place. The more modernized budget the improvements and most importantly the taxes and it is important to note that by the very nature of the Rajneesh is form of communal living. The members individually are responsible for items like taxes even those living in an allotment. Instead the group as a whole picks up the tab Magruder says that makes the russian a she's less concerned about taxes than the old timers. Many who are retired and living on fixed income the Greers family his ranch this land adjacent to the commune for four generations now and he says he has some theories of his own on why antelope is being developed anyway it was a gateway to writing this program. And that's basically what we have thought all along that once RIF news program becomes a big deal on the money ranch that the little town of antelope will become exactly that and they won't have one city they'll have to in Oregon and it's folks like Joanne Boyce group in Albany and others campaigning to
remove the threat of the Rajneesh from the state of Oregon on the one hand. Here. You can read it through in the news. That explains it then some of the followers of the Bhagwan on the other. If we're forced to we will take over Oregon if we're forced to. We would hate to have to do it. You may be increasing tensions themselves and getting in the way of resolving the situation. If that's possible and I regret the rhetoric on both sides because I also feel that the spokesman for the Raj and he she even throws fuel in the fire of bigotry. If. They attack anyone who criticizes any aspect of whether it's land use laws or not and allege that it's based on bigotry without the Sun Yat Sen's antelope probably would have continued for years as just another sleepy little known Oregon town.
For whatever reasons the rush and she's of changed all of that and the antelope that these people knew just doesn't exist anymore. The. Well he had a little bit. And nobody else there with pick up problems down there in their own country so. Nothing like we have a pier. About Asians I'd see a sions or. Asians are pretty pretty smart people. Look at Japan you know what you know they get their economy all the stuff they build. You know they're
smart. They think they're good at math and all that. So. They're pretty much smart. But still separate somehow and different. Oh yeah you know. They're different. You know the way the schools are shaped the ways our schools are shaped the way blacks you know everybody the whole of all the races are different. OK. I am. Let's let's talk. The serai incident. It's been what three years. Yeah I mean these rumors. Why did you plead guilty. Well number one I couldn't afford an attorney and I had a public defender or not. He he did all he could you know for what he had to deal with. But. He. Just couldn't get the judge to. Let go of some of the motions we filed in hand. And our pretrial. We felt like
34 different emotions. And in our biggest motion was a change of venue you know because of all the media hype at the time I was like. Every day for like two or three weeks it was you know all of not all the time but a lot of the times it was the first Test story on the news. And you had people marching in the park and Pioneer Square. We all want to hang us and stuff. And we go to pretrial and there we say hang us and you know but I think the judge Abraham was pretty much biased against us because he's a Lebanese descent hand. I think basically he discriminated against us because we were white. You know why Youssou who happened to. Kill a black person. And I think in deep inside it pissed him off. So you know. But then again if he had to go to the public to do it because he didn't want to look bad in the public's eye you know
do you have pretty much say it was a public outrage. And nuff and the federal government coming in and saying well we're going to charge you with some civil rights. Charges if. You don't come you know do it. I deal with. The district attorney's office. You felt you would you know you can get a break in their fair trial. No not a fair trial. And you know plus the. When our witness the people that are with us that night in the car when they first got arrested. They changed their stories like two or three times because the first one they actually told what happened. The homicide detectives Hefley Nelson. Were threatening the eyewitnesses with murder charges if they didn't come. If they'd been told what they had heard. So the story basically changed there's no you change gears you've always said it was self-defense.
Yeah that Sauron had was a coyote right. What was he doing to come up with that he was joking about the time. Kyle was drunk really drunk that night. And you know he could barely walk. And. I did witness some rock run down behind Kyle and hit him from behind him put him in a chokehold. And at that time. After I got done smashing the windows out of one of the victim's cars he drove away I almost ran over Carl and Carl jumped out of the way it was like looking at the car I was driving away this robber ran from his doorstep are we now in hit Kyle from behind. And I went down there told him let go and I. From there. He died. You had that hot yeah. Why did you go back that night. Well actually we were going to ride home from a different from Paddy's Kyle's girlfriend. And her little sister play softball there just it was just softball that in the car. You want and I just grabbed a cell phone about to break out a couple of days when I was. And I could
spit on our car and stuff so I said I want to play that she said so I went out and did that. You know actually the bat had cracked when I was hit in the car because I had the tail light in the back. And there was a bumper on the back and I swung again and it popped it was just a wind that you know was all that and the bat cracked all the way up the middle. What was going through your head at the time used you. I wanted like OK I'll let you know if you're going to kill me or not you know because. From earlier experiences pin them brawls you know like a couple weeks before that. Somebody took a log and smashed it over on my friend's head you know and his brain swelled and they had to cut his school open to relieve the swelling and he almost died from that. But he's he's lived. So y'all had a spur of the moment fire like that you don't know you know especially took 1:30 2:00 in the morning everybody's gone home from a party you.
Just you know everything seems to I had taken but you hadn't been drinking you know Instead they you know everybody was drinking said his mother. Oh yes you. Did you think that you were going to kill him. Caught No there was. Going to no not at all. Did you think you had to know there. Are more we left. I you know I looked at him afterwards. After. He'd been kicked a couple times had through you know he got hit. I like when I look back down how did you know before he left. And he was still breathing so I said I think you are OK. It was that I kind of you had a feeling you know we kind of beat this guy up a little you know too much. But everything just happened so fast you know. And when we left it was like I said I told her because I hope you don't die. They said no he cannot die. And I come up. The next day after and I was watching football I heard you know and then it's like now public outrage then would you think because see what I think happened was because.
Since we took off you know. That. The. Police got the you get the other Ethiopian statements when they were still in the hospital and they were still down and they kind of like exploited the story. John was sure how long these guys have been speaking English I don't think probably two or three years maybe. You know. Some of the things they said that we yelled at him and stuff. I can prove they were a lie and in a couple cases where they said their car was parked on the next to the sidewalk. That's what they told the police they were they were parked in the street. You might think the only reason this thing started was because they they would back up all of it to let us by. So we started yelling at each other. And that's when I started. To feel any remorse. Yeah. You know that he left you know he's he's got a kid and you know. I mean I don't have a home. And look where it's left you know yeah. It's made me. Thanks to
the. To the police witnesses out lied through this whole thing. So yeah you know he will not see in all this you know I hate longer. It's led the whole the whole United States that they have heard about this case to make me out to be the biggest mentor he stated skinhead you know I mean Isaac Hayes. And you can be here for a while and let's think you get life. What's the. When do you. Ever get a possibility of a pro said it I'm not sure that we stay times a lot different now I think if you behave. There's been this is where people get out. And about 12 or 13 years I know this guy got out he did 12 years he killed he killed his wife while she was like 8 months pregnant and buried him both in the backyard he got out in 12 years. And I think Mike I don't think my crime was just the toys you know he'd bury her you know he knew she was dead. I don't think you know she was just saying was I getting parole because of that because this
crime is. Well you know I think about it it's like from the public outrage you know they're going to put Charles Manson hell with all the publicity he got because it was in the Tory is this is you know. It is happening at the wrong time. You know that when your parole hearings come out they're going to be people they're saying were actually dead when I got people that you know that know what happened that night and. They're upstanding citizens you know. So I don't see it happens do you think ahead to what you'd like to do if you didn't win you know. Guys like to move the mountains and get away. With. These gloomy countries and they just forget about everything. I watch TV or nothing. Do you. Do you correspond stay active with some of that we mention recoup or write. Do you talk with you. No he you know he sends me that. The NSV be poor once in a while and it's going to be poor.
And. He's he's he's a pretty smart guy. Like some of you know where he's coming from. He's a survivalist. You know. Like you know nuclear war out there so I'm you know he's got everything buried and ready to survive you know you never know what's going to happen. He's waiting with a race war. I would say race war. I'd pretty much say that wars are the start of the Middle East and we're going to be victims of it somehow also. That's what I think. The way things are going on. What's happened to east said White Pride is it dead. And gone. Beside my pride was just as much or. Just a bunch of friends I just got around I drank and. We just you know we did you know that we could have each thing we do we're just going to put up flyers and stuff and in our.
SS Action Group material you know war material of course. And. Different other types of stuff to make people read a little racially aware you know. Do you have any contact with time it's going on in the hall or any of his organization. No I suppose it doesn't surprise me. You feel abandoned a bit at all. Well I don't think there should be you should have brought into this whole thing anyway what happened up there like I said oh it was ways we was going home from a party when I was a traffic confrontation and turn into a Brawn and so we had died from it. Could've had it was if they'd been white. That's now that you mention now that's basically all that you know we've been getting in fights you know we go to a party once why get in fights you know because people so we scan and you know. How they'd say Screw America we're not Americans and we hate America. We don't get involved and they were just jocks you know from. If and I schools in the southeast part of Portland.
Sounds like you're describing to me when you're describing yourself and as this kind of. A kid who hustled on the streets for a while and is taught you know I don't know how strong the streets are just living on streets when she was you know not living on the streets today. Well I'm mistaken I mean but it sounds like you've had a tough life. Is that fair. Mike tough no. I had a good life did you know I was a you know I worked for the biggest underground concert promoter in Portland and Seattle you know I've worked with bands like Slayer Megadeth Metallica You know you all that you know. And I did have a rough life. Why the violence though why do you get into fights or did you get in the fight. Because that's what I just drank and. Kate as you know. You know why don't you just go through that phase of our lives. It's been going on ever since. Beginning of May or. Is that still a part of you think. What's funny you know in the physical violence is if you need me
is for self-defense and if you may show me ways to deal with conflict I guess is my question. Learning other ways to try and. I mean I haven't been in a fight since I've been here. But you know if somebody if I feel some is threatening me is going to you know try to rip my face up you know I'll try to take them down. You're pretty big I mean you say you work out obviously was that I was at a form of self-defense to. Hide knowledge just for me and when you did that before when you were in prison right. You change from the Willamette Week said a skinny skinny kid didn't have your place a kind of fancy you when you got out that time. Yeah yeah. Do you still have contact with some of those people from the music days do they call you has it and keep in touch with you. The idea there that you know they're behind me. They don't leave all that here that. All that crap that was going around about us and in the beginning. Now has just happened you know like mine I mean not even a month before
that happened you know skinheads went on her all them broke his nose you know. But people just would wait and realize that that were Eunice or whatever his name went over and started choking Tom. I mean John Metzger first and that's what started that whole thing. So it's like they provoke us. You know it's always been like that. I mean I'm sure there's you know it's a two way street. There's black races there's white races there's Chinese racist you know you name it. You know everybody. There's there's always going to be a group of people one in a race that are going to stick with each other. And I know and I know blacks and Hispanics in here who don't believe race makes a neighbor may feel the same way I do. You know it's just not it's just not why it's. Just the people that. Have no heart they don't have the morals. The understand the differences you know. Who doesn't have more. People who have mulatto babies.
What's the ideal world then. What should the world be like. They are. I was sure that that our Creator would have created one race so we would have this problem myself. Why do you think he didn't. How. Will never know. It's not in this life. OK let's see. I. Think we have that covered up. Gary do you think having things floating around in your hand wormhole and you know just a little bit more of a question of. You know you concerned about the races next thing. You know why it is a problem. I mean why is it a problem. You know I mean because you've got different groups with different values. That's one thing. But just because they they are last spring kids you know with both backgrounds mixed background is that it's still a bit of what tell you what this is wow I feel I feel like that most race mixing.
Is done by black males against white females. And. From what I you know I hear all this you know you have white Bish this white bitch that they just do it just because to get even from from the from their slave days and you know that's what I that's how I feel. You know a lot you know there's some of them that love each other. But what I'd say about 80 85 percent of. Black said do that against white women do it out of revenge because because of their hate for a white man. They're not going to admit it but you know I can read people want to look at something I can read him like a book. You know. That's what I see every day in here too. It's not because they really like that person in your eyes. They. They want to make white men man. Right. Just making man you know I don't wear you out. Because they're going to have a kid and the kid's going to be half black and half white and it's going to be
stuck. You know it's going be stuck right in the middle. You know which way is it going to go this way or that way and a lot of them go towards. Their blacks. Isn't that because that's the way people treat them right. Well people say that white pride that that racism and white supremacy movement in particular is just a way for. For. Failures to find a scapegoat for people who haven't succeeded in this world to say well this is why the point fingers somebody else rather than to look at the selves and try to figure out why there are not a doctor or a lawyer you know whatever. What do you think of that. I think that's an old wives tale. If they've got that they got that from back and not. Really World War 2. When Germany was.
A basically run by a Jewish system. And the Jews were. Like he said Boys and doctors you know kicking the good German people in the streets because they didn't have money in most of them. But. It's not like that here you know you go to college here and anybody go to college and so I'm not buying that one. You know there I'm sure others there are some there are different types of White said. Put the blames on minorities for their problems but. You gotta realize. The Reagan era. Where all these immigrants coming here with nothing and then they give them something you know. Then when we have all these other countries money you know we. Cannot. As they can't keep doing this forever. One of these days it's going to you know off like you said it the way it's going right now. It will fire for a sewer because you take that instance a New York City couple points
at three months ago. When I. Was a rabbi was driving down the street had a black kid and that started the whole thing right there that whole neighborhood was freaking out. And from what I understand the blacks receive I want to stuff saying yeah they had learned and I just you know. And you know who would ever expect that you know. So you people got to realize it's just not white against Serbia it's it's everybody else against everybody else you know. So far. It's going pretty good now I mean all the way and without instances like that it's pretty smooth now but you know that's always going to happen. And maybe one of these days when this country's. Goes into a depression. Then it's really the shit's going to hit the fan. What do you think that is why don't blacks and Jews get along I mean it will be done by. The white mainstream. Oh that was just a certain incident. I'll say that the Jews the blacks feel the Jews got medical treatment first.
That's why that happened. So they feel so then they were they were saying well you know they get treated better than us when they feel the freak out. You can't hide a ways perhaps. You can stay put. Right what are you doing here you do not a body are you going to school. Well I think I'm going to college and talking on my part about five or six years or so I go to college now by the time I get out and I can remember when I've been where you can keep steady and. Keep steady and you get some good might might still be going to college so I always look through his books you know using he's a hardcore college to him he's doing 30 years too but I. Can you do music in you. So now I gotta get over myself. When I asked you Do you stay busy. Play my guitar. We still do in the heavy metal and what was it called the James half of the guitar
player before or. Before you put out how we should trade tapes and stuff to them you know. You know he sent me there down laws. And then I. Think I made it big. To the interact with them. Oh no. No I haven't seen them guys since about 1980. PCI-X. Taylor pushed her and I. Know. That's ready for the sick world a lot but I guess it's because musicians travel so much she just did this they were in Switzerland. And they're on a bus and they're in the Swiss Alps coming up coming back from a show that. You know he needed to record or to write these make up stuff and get it recorded because you know you'll forget it after a while the five year transfer was
carried to a tree. Oh did he. Yeah because they had it for years.
