That's a representation of the. Star on hollywood boulevard. For my grandfather had. He was a silent film actor. He was a keystone kops. And he was a keystone kops. And he was one of the first one of the originals are his he was a pioneer of science and let's see some of the photographs first because he worked with charlie chaplin. He was in several. Of charlie chaplin's movies especially the later movies. He was the prize fighter with charlie chaplin and city lights. And he was also a player in a few other chaplin movies including. The great dictator. But mostly he was in other silent films. And more like a keystone common sense. And here he is and i'm sure. With mack sennett he was a key from her people will recognize him he was one of the key figures in the keystone cops because a lot of the stunts. You have another photograph from whom he also arrives in films with the macs and bathing beauties. This is one of his kids posed pictures. A studio shot video shot we have many. Stills from the movie says
well. We also have some photographs that were photographed to him. Well. This one isn't autographed to him but this is fatty arbuckle who in whose. Several films my grandfather was also. Here's an autographed photo. Hard to read. These inscription but it says. Very sincerely. Roscoe fatty. In the days and place where it was signed. This is an autographed photo of max. The famous villain in the sun with whom doesn't have him in his with the big eyebrows. These are two autographed photos from mabel norman who was in many of the films. This one says. To have found and this says to command keystone police. Sincerely mabel norman. Actually you have a whole album are autographed photographs autographed. Silent film actors. Also we have my grandfather's wig and moustache.
Which you can see in the photo the photograph he was actually. Without much hair. So he is still a little box here and has the wig makers. Label on it. From hollywood. It says. Charlie right. Master maker of hairpieces. Sunset boulevard hollywood. And here's his mustache yes that's his mustache this is what the adhesive was applied here. So it went something like that. But you know when you start to talk about valuing these things. These two items. Are almost impossible to value to be truly value that would have to place an auction of movie memorabilia. I would estimate that an opening bid on these two items would start somewhere around seventy thousand dollars. But the real value of what you brought today of these photographs of just across this collection. With these signatures. There's been recent auctions of similar material. In los angeles. And based on the prices that we realize that those options. I would say that to have a collection. That's been served of the would be estimated forty to fifty thousand dollars. That's where my real value was. I
mean these of course are heirlooms to you now they're all yes. We'd never part with them but it's been a amazing relation of how that early order.
