I'll address the first question tonight to both Senators, gentlemen, with the legislative session always taking all the time allotted. Do you think that there would be any possibility of having a shorter session, one that for all the work is done in the last five or ten days, as it seems to be now, what would be right later than we started? We could probably get it done. Tonight on Channel 8, at 7 on Wild America,
Marty Staufer visits the Western Prairies to see how the graceful pronghorn survives today. At 7.30, pioneers of aviation follows the development of scheduled air travel for passengers and mail. Tonight on Channel 8, at 7 a panel of leading journalists covered the top stories from our nation's capital on Washington Weekend Review. At 7.30, host Lewis Rukaiser and guests provide the latest information in the world of investment on Wall Street Weekend Review. This is the third year for the KFDI Ranch Hand's Country Special here on Channel 8. We're here tonight to help Channel 8 raise some $7,500 for Channel 8 over the next four hours. All Fritz Davis on a guitar. All right, brother Brad, what about some bass guitar?
Let's do it all together one time. I am in favor of putting some kind of a county designation on there, with some kind of a strict tape, but we just couldn't get it done.
And it is a major issue with a lot of people. They really don't like it because the county that they live in does not have that designation on that tag. So if it's ethical, we might try that. And we didn't because there wasn't support. There was not public support, but there was not legislative support also. I've been strongly in favor and I still support it. I've been saying for the last several months we could have passed a highway bill this session, and I think we could have. There was clear support from Democrats to support a highway bill this session. We did not even get an opportunity for hearings in the House. They had some hearings in the Senate. It's to the point where our funds are running out. We have to do something next session.
I hate to make the prediction again, but we'll pass something next session. My response to that is that we would, construction probably would be started on the road to Pittsburgh if the Democrats had not blocked the governor's highway proposal plan during this special session. I was very disappointed and I could not believe that the Democrats lined up against the highway program like they did. Now we'll take a look at the spiral from outside. Note that the wings of our plane are being intentionally placed in the steep bank. Next we see the nose of the plane beginning to lower itself. Note the rate of altitude loss. The plane has turned about 120 degrees and the speed has picked up about 50 knots for miles per hour. The pilot is now rolling the wing's level and releasing the controls. See the recovery the plane is attempting all on its own. The pilot is now recovering from the extremely nose high attitude. No attempt was made to stop the plane from pitching.
We'd like to show you why our many services remain the first choice of pastors and building committees. We'll begin by taking you through our headquarters in Wichita, Kansas. As church designers, church is more than a mere building. It's a dwelling place, a spiritual home for your congregation. Remember, give us a call if you want to talk with a lawyer about an issue or a problem you think may be a legal issue. Give us a call. You have a hard time getting through because the lines are busy. Wait a minute. Call again. The number is 436-5787. Now we're going to talk about bankruptcy law with Bob Nuget and Roy Brown. Bob, we hear a lot about bankruptcies and that there's two types. Reorganization and liquidation. Could you explain both of those to us? Surely level and with wise strong efforts for the universities and for the upgrading of the public schools too.
The other side of that coin is we have a really good base here to start with. When I talk to people, I say where else in the United States and in urban area could you go in, live across the street from a public school and have the average Iowa basic score be 99%ile. And you can't. There are some very important changes in the interest section of your schedule. If all your paying is an original mortgage on your primary residence, you'll still be able to deduct all your mortgage interest online 9a or 9b, whichever fits your situation. But if you've taken out a second mortgage, read the note at the top of the interest section carefully. When you refinance your home and for how much may affect how much of the interest you can deduct on your 1987 tax return.
You'll need a distributor who offers you the best products and services. You need your orders to be filled quickly and efficiently. And if you should have questions about products, you want the correct answers. Now, as distributors, we itself know that for you to succeed, both of us must satisfy your customer. That's why selfs has created a total system for ensuring satisfaction, yours and your customers. Can you ask to deliver it to the west door? Okay, thanks a lot. This is a story about commitment, innovation, perseverance, running the race with the strength to finish, the attitude to win, becoming the choice of the pros. This is MetalFed.
You need good vision to fix your robot, and we're going to look at your vision right now. First, the light goes through the black dot here, and then it makes a picture inside your eye. It's upside down, but your brain makes it right side up. And did you know that both of your eyes work together to make one picture? Our eyes are important, so we can have fun, learn and grow. Take care of your eyes, because there are so many beautiful things to see. HealthMarts' private label line is another important part of the franchise program's success story. Private label products may provide the greatest opportunity for your store to increase profits and build customer loyalty. HealthMarts' private label products are made to pharmaceutical standards and are comparable in quality and effectiveness to national brands, yet retail from much less while significantly increasing your profits. Your customers can choose from hundreds of private label products, which are displayed next to national brand equivalents for easy comparisons.
Platoon, full metal jacket, Hollywood versions of the Vietnam War, how accurate are they? Hollywood's Vietnam will examine the film industry's perceptions of the war against the personal accounts of local Vietnam veterans who experience the reality of combat. Is the story being told on screen a true one? Hollywood's Vietnam, a live one hour special on Channel 8. George Haverstick is in the hospital, and thanks to Isabel, his nurse, he's cured and married in no time. But things get off to a rocky start as Jane Fonda and Jim Hutton star in period of adjustment. I thought married people were supposed to discuss important decisions with each other. Four o'clock yesterday afternoon when I made that particular decision, we wouldn't marry. Period of adjustment on Channel 8.
If your institution offers access to Kets and Sirus ATMs, these logos will be printed on the back of the Money Card. Tell your customers about the worldwide network of over 30,000 Sirus and Master Teller ATMs, including 18,000 in the US and Canada that bear the Sirus logo. Be sure to mention the toll free number that tells the location of the nearest Sirus machine and your directory of all the Sirus locations. I don't think cowboy music is going to research in any way, shape, perform. Most likely, with a trend, right now it's a one-man trend probably.
If I do get anywhere with it, it'll probably be absorbed and modified by what already exists in top 40 country and western, which I have to merge with. I'm going to hold out for every little ounce of integrity that I can possibly contain. If I had my way, it would research, but I'm pretty realistic about it. It's not going to come back in a big way. It could come back in a little way and I'd be happy. The best in entertainment is waiting for you in September on Channel 8. Picture musical specials with Elvis, The Beatles, The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, The Grand Ole Opera, and great movies such as That's Dancing. Picture the excitement Channel 8 will bring you in September and don't miss it.
The final act of The Big Dog concert features three of today's greats and bluegrass music, Burlein, Prairie, and Hickman. Byron, Burlein on Fiddle and Land of Linn, Dan, Prairie on Guitar, and John Hickman on Banjo are all considered among the best on their instruments. Though they have a heavy recording and performing schedule, they still take time out to appear every year to Winfield Festival.
We also watch The Joy of Music on Sunday. They really enjoy the music and the scenery and the show. I enjoy all the science fiction programming on Channel 8, especially Doctor Who and I hope they continue it.
I know I support Channel 8 and I hope other people will also. Before you're all learned what Channel 8 was, in fact that's his favorite number and actually he can find it on television by himself because he likes all your programs. The quality of the programming, I like to see that and with our son and stuff, I want to make sure that those kind of shows are available for an alternate choice. Some of the other programs to me get just aren't worth watching and so PBS has always been something that we've participated in. You
