This is music from Rochester a series of concerts recorded out the Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester. Music from Rochester is made available to national educational radio by Xerox Corporation and radio station nobody BSB in Rochester New York and now to tell us about tonight's concert here is our host Richard Fried. This is Richard Fried of the University of Rochester's Eastman School of Music introducing another Eastman School concert. In our continuing series a broadcast of student performances brought to you through the cooperation of the Rochester musicians Association local 66 of the American Federation of Musicians for tonight's concert we have performances by four young violinists. The violinist all pupils of Carol blend at the Eastman School are Diane sue for Clive Moore Robert Cole and Coralie GARRETT Let's we'll hear them in Sonata is by Beethoven Mozart Dr. Bell and Samuel Adler and also Ernest Bloss Baal Shem to begin we hear
Diane sue for violin with Perry's gyrate piano in Beethoven sonata in C Minor Opus 30 number two. Diane suffered is on her way to Germany now for graduate work at the University of Cologne on the University of Rochester exchange fellowship. Aries got Jari who has graduated from the Eastman School in 1968. Now I was a member of the United States Marine Band in Washington where he joined his Eastman teacher Eugene list in a performance at the White House in July 1969. He's also the organist at President Nixon's White House church services. We hear now the Beethoven Sonata in C minor in form of months Allegro oakum Breo da joke on top. Scared so. And Allegro. The sonata is played by Diane silver violin and Harry's got Jari piano. You're.

sofort violin and Harry Scott Jerry piano Clive Moore the next violinist we are to hear on tonight's Eastman School concert was born in India grew up in London and now makes his home in Toronto. He's a senior at Eastlands studying with Carol Blue and is also a member of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. We'll hear him with pianist Carrie Lewis in a Mozart sonata and the sweet Baal Shem by Ernest Bloch. The Mozart which we hear now is the Sonata in C Major listing 296. It's in three movements Allegro Vivace Dante supposed to Hutto and Allegro.
