Samuel Adler has five movements for brass quintet played by an ensemble under the direction of Donald Vincent Dimaio Dino and Carl on and trumpets role on Star horn. Robert thanking trombone and Lauren Geiger tuba. No composer in America today enjoys more respect and affection than Walter Piston who was 75 last January. His solid reputation rests on a happy combination of craftsmanship and imaginative nose and on his outstanding effectiveness as a pedagogue in addition to his own work as a composer. The quintet for wind instruments composed the 956 reflects all the piston qualities in his four movements which are marked on a motto to contain a hit song and Allegro Komodo. We hear it now played by an ensemble directed by David Van Hoosen Rebecca Heaton flute Faile and Bailey oboe Joseph Reed clarinet marry Hickson horn and Arthur stood
