It's so. This is you're fishing on a fly report for the weekend of April 30th. The water clarity on the Gallatin is a tad off color but it hasn't seemed to affect the fishing at all. The fish are spread around a bit more but most are still concentrating in a deeper slower runs trying minting with this don't fly in a bead head off the back or try to fire off the back of a mega hare's ear. Streamer fishing has been decent but better on the lower stretches than in the canyon. There have been some scattered reports for the upper Madison but so far between the lakes has been fishing about as well as anything with Midge larva worms and assorted may fly names. There have also been quite a few good reports from the people fishing Vonnie down fly wise it's a good idea to be throwing rubber legged stone fly imitations this time of the year. Trailed by a smaller beat had off the back worms and eggs can be good too. And don't allow Dedrick to some sculpting patterns as well. What the lower Madison a bit off color will most likely be an in game. This is a good time for the heartworms orange bright red hot pink and crayfish as well. There have been copious amounts of blue wings coming off but the fish haven't really been keying in on then yet so it's just a
matter of time. Turner fishing has been picking up some tri yellow and orange color patterns. Black is decent as well on the Yellow Stone there have been some good reports coming from in the valley. So you have quite a few options of where to float the blue NG's are coming off in the millions on the cloudy or overcast days and the fish have been sporadically munching on them. There haven't been any great fishing reports coming from fishermen strictly throwing dries. It's been more of an emptying and streamer game over there right now. We are seeing quite a few white fish on the new bridge but if you're patient you can pick up trout to try stone fly nymph trailing may fly imitations like copper Johns pheasant tails and lightning bugs. Reports from the Missouri offense body your best bet is nipping through most of the day and then switching over to streamers later in the day when things get a little warmer and the fish start moving a bit. On the Big Horn fish are concentrating mostly on the subsurface but there has been some action on top from time to time and the BW us are just starting. So if you're head hunting for a dry fly eaters maybe give it another week. The best nipping combos are pretty predictable if you stick with sow bugs. Ray Charles's zebra midges and
assorted Midge imitations. The occasional San Juan worm or egg and some may fly stuff on the smaller side and you'll be pretty set for the big one right now. The fishing over on the big haul has been pretty good with a few BW us as well as midges in squall is down lower. Also take along some of the purple hazes or if you like knitting try rubber legs don't fly into San Juan. This is typically the time of the year that you start to see the Stillwater and its sister the boulder fishing decently with the Yellowstone getting some color to it down low. That means a few fish start their spawning journey up the still water nipping is going to be your best bet. Look for images in the shallow runs so Meg's San Juan worms and mayflies and stone fly imitations. Also try stone ply San Juan combo on both rivers and more in depth report is available out trout that has dot com this is been you're fishing on the fly report for the weekend of April 30th brought to you by Montana truckers and it's so it's.
