The reason why is it they represent five college black community if you had any communication with the other presidents of the other schools. We have one of the joys of this valley is that we all cooperate both students and fact and presents a great deal. And I've talked to President Mendenhall president of the most met President Truman of Mount Holyoke wasn't allowed to leave the University of Massachusetts the only person we have talked we had a house in of Hampshire College but he doesn't have any students till September. What was their reaction. Well there we all share the same concern we're after all in involved deep in education and as you know in our own poet's phrase Robert Frost education is a matter of moving a man from where he is to where he ain't and clearly this kind of thing going on does not lead necessarily to good education if it is it may be exciting people ABN may be interesting to look at but it doesn't
really develop somebody's thinking processes and behaviors anything legally to get them out of the building. You know as you know I have no plans at the moment for that. Oh you probably can function without access to the library. For example I don't think college can function very long without access to the library. I don't think you can function very long without access to the science building or some of these other areas and it's absolutely correct it says that the this is where the finger is pointing is how long and what of the pros and cons of this and what we have to I cannot operate in a vacuum and this many of the requests in here will demand faculty action. I would hope that the faculty would feel as I do that this kind of action is not conducive to a university and would express their disapproval of it I can't predict that. But our next move really is going to have to depend
on how our thoughts roam how reactions out of these particular requests that might be today at what time exactly were they doing. I try to make today at 3 o'clock and to talk about these problems. Let me have a regular fact meeting which mostly are closed with all results. Yes right away we thought that there might be a general meeting of the college. After some time after this faculty meeting for this meeting held the family and friends where your cloth where you can't beat it. Let me get the questions that I know Dr. Frankton Hopko has some other engagements here. You know you've waited all good the fellow who can you really read a good statement.
Yes he did have that. I've got one to put into chaos here for my face yeah we can't tell you just when the students are in they are going to die on the bottom.
