- Here and Now, state revenue numbers announcement, Doyle SOT where he updated state revenue numbers. Wisconsin's unemployment is lower than the national average. He said real estate values are holding. And he remarked that the state retirement fund is still 100 percent funded. The bad news? A newly projected three-billion dollar revenue shortfall is coming. And deep cuts may be on the way. GM Janesville plant closing in Dec 2008, GM Corporate Officers announced Janesville factory will close operations at the end of 2008, this after a previous announcement that the plant would continue assembly of SUVs and pick-up trucks until 2010. Amy Loasching is a 22 year GM Employee who is also the President of the Janesville City council. She's actually on the job for GM right now in southern Illinois where she joins us by phone. jobless rate, State Secretary of Workforce Development Roberta Gassman joins Fred on set to talk over the meaning of the new Wisconsin jobless rates. jobless rate, His new report, released this week, shows a 51 percent jobless rate among African American males in Milwaukee.
