Sisters and brothers I greet you with a sisterly love on behalf. Of us here on the piano. I hope you didn't come here hoping that we are going to entertain you because we just don't have the time. The people who will be speaking on this panel has not been chosen because of their revolutionary rhetoric. They were chosen because of their correct practice. I want to introduce you. Thank God being with a beautiful sister to my left. She is Sister Carol Thomas who is representing Seth scale. Thank seated next to her. There is another beautiful sister sister Penny too. She will be talking to us about the problems of Asian people.
Thanks. Thanks we had hoped. The natives sister America would have been with us if Sr. and the ra e on is in the audience we would love to have him on this. We have another sister. Who was detained because of delay of plane and on the way at this very moment so. It doesn't matter to time but how well you utilize it and after all like we should really be out there with the masses. Continue with the end induction on my right here its beautiful sister sister Evelyn Harris. She'll be speaking about the problems of the poorest of the poor the recipients vs fascism next to her is seeded another sister that's righteous. She's with
correct theory and practice. No other than my own sister recorder Alexander. Seated next to SR a birder is not a beautiful sister whom you get to know as well as I have. Learned a sister hero Henry. I'm Marie Johnson. With much ado I'd like to first of all. Set the tone to let you know that since we are equipped with correct ideology and correct practice we know that fascism is Terra fascism is genocide. It is the most vicious child of dying imperialism. It is most important for women to be able to recognize trash isn't exactly what it is. Every day we are being used
as tools by the ever richest businessman to perpetrate fascism upon all of us as well as the exploitation of people of foreign lands. This panel hopes to arouse a sense of urgency with purpose among women. We got no time for rhetorics. It's too much to be done. We must get it together. Here to four women had been thought out as merely being content to remain in a prone position. Well they ain't what they used to be in a never will be. Fascism is being asked or laid upon all the people. We do not wish to separate ourselves as a separate entity. We came from the people and by our deeds by our correct actions or the people we hope to become that other half not only of man but of the masses of our people.
It is up to every woman to join their sisters and brothers who are already in the struggle for survival survival. Women must acquire correct thoughts in pro-forma correct daily actions. Daily deeds in a correct manner will liberate them on. Of the women. There is no need to demand liberation. Get it together. You have the correct ideology. Put it into direct practice. And you'll be recognisance by what you do not just for the sake of being a woman because we are of the people. We must not wait for fascism to vamp on aspersion only an injury to one is an injury to all you better believe it.
Fascism is like a contagious disease. It terrorizes and quite often it kill us. Remember the little sister from Nebraska. She was only 14 years old. Then we'll still have. Facing a long prison sentence. Sister Erica hug and brutality. And she is and she really knew it. He went through the same thing and is going through the same thing that Sister Soldier in the truth and Harriet Tubman. Along with Sister Huygens we mustn't forget our brothers. New York 21. Will never forget. Redolent brother James rector. Brother George basket. And brother Bobby Hartley. Bunchy Carter. And the
late brother Hawkins. Of sister hadn't. I have seen the mothers. And the sisters. I have felt their pain. I have seen the young man coming from Viet Nam limbless. They relate to us. So I would ask the audience. Dont they go and try to go on good deeds. Me so I thought I'd take up much more of your time. The sisters here have much more than I could ever say. I'd like to for its present sister Roberta. Thank you. Right on like stuff I say this is that there is a struggle going on right now. Our topic appeared today to
talk about women versus fascism the role of women in the movement. There were some there was some commotion here and I'd like to address myself briefly to the commotion. I think it's significant. First of all there's a struggle now going on in the Black Panther Party. A lot of people around the country are confused about what's happening now in the Black Panther Party around the woman question. Around the role of women in the Black Panther Party. This confusion has been created and added to added to with the demagogy of the bush was easy with their Larry pals in the McClellan committees. They're adding to the confusion of the people and the Black Panther Party now what is stand up forward. Before all of you and explain a little bit of what's happening. We talk about the vision among the people and how the ruling class uses
those divisions to weaken the people and to weaken the people struggles. We are now faced with a rising tide of fascism in this country. And the people have to be united in order to fight this tide. Huey P. Newton say yes as the brother earlier said tonight that we have to limit our bickering as much as possible between the movement and make our concentration upon the enemy. This is correct. And we must recognize the enemy when we see it. This is also very important because if we don't know what the enemy is then we are in bad shape. Now on the question of male chauvinism on the question of male supremacy this is a true problem in our society and reflects Kap of the society period. Women are placed in a particular role in their perspective to stay in their role. We have problems in
the party. That's true. Because we we are part of the society and if we were to say we didn't have no problems we'd be lying to the people. We're not going to lie to people in order for people to understand the question will tell the truth. For the last several months in our party. There have been struggles over this question and the struggles have have have have gone through the whole gamut of possible problems. I've gone through women leadership women being able to be armed defend themselves as well as the brothers. Whether or not the women do all the talking. Or whether or not they also take part in the armed self-defense and the running of the offices and not just behind the typewriters. And it even goes down to the sexual levels you know whether or not the women are supposed to do so and so for the cause of the Revolution et cetera. And there been a hell of a lot of distortions about the party's position on precisely this
point. There's been a lot of struggle in the party and at times the struggle has become so principled that we sink more. We have got more this is being corrected we sing more about the contradictions between the women and the men in the party between the sisters and the brothers than we do about the pig. Now there is a problem there. Because that cannot be alone. The pigs are out to murder us. The Sisters and the brothers are class sisters and brothers sisters and brothers in the struggle and the party has addressed itself to this problem and is now being result and is being resolved correctly is being resolved through an intense struggle among the parties. The women. As Eldridge Cleaver said our other half they're not a weaker half they're not a stronger hand but they are of our other half. And it's no accident that Eldridge should say that right now ideas come from social context and the struggle is being carried through.
The pride of contradictions arising are being carried through. Now I'd like to say a few words about where it comes from we see in the society class divisions we see in the society race of visions and we see in the society six visions. Black women interestingly enough are oppressed as a class. It's part of the super oppressed class of workers. Unemployed in this country. Black women are oppressed because they are black. And then on top of that black women are oppressed by black men. And that's got to go. Not only has it got to go but it's growing. But.
I think we have an example tonight of how kids or people who may not be pigs but are objectively acting like pigs can function. The purpose. One of the most destructive aspects of male supremacy is how to divide us. People who should be united. This is very important concept to understand. We struggle against male supremacy we struggle because we want unity. We struggle against male supremacy. We struggle with the brothers in the party in the brother struggle too because they think this is the struggle and believe you me can't me has a problem male supremacy can't be overcome unless it's a two way street. So now when a proposal is brought up that the sisters WA. I don't know what to say. I write some don't know what to say because
how the hell are we going to solve a problem like this. If this is walk out and just leave brothers behind I realize this is have a lot to teach the brothers but they don't learn if we walk out the building and talk among ourselves. The repression that we're facing in this country is a matter of life and death. We have prisoners all over this country. Some 130 now we're facing the gas chamber. There are also many other political prisoners in this country the chairman quoted one hundred eight. Well we know that there's there's there's hundreds more that we just can't count him. We try to compile a list with a newspaper that was absurd. What we're facing is a serious matter. We can't be divided the same time. We're not going to turn in among ourselves. We're not going to look upon nor are we neither are women or
men. Feeling sorry for ourselves. Or super sympathy. We're not going to be super sentimental. This is not a wrong. The people who've gone over to Vietnam. To North Vietnam talk to the Vietnamese people who are carrying on their heroic struggle. We're told about the Vietnamese atrocities. You know they were you know they were told they were informed. This is not what the Vietnamese people harped on. They harped on their positive programs. This is what was most important to them because it was their positive programs that carried them forward. And this is going to be the case the Black Panther Party. We're going to carry forth our positive programs. The Sisters and the brothers united to carry these programs forward. The sisters are going to stay home worrying about their babies.
And sisters are going to stay home. Worried about their house worried about their husband worried about the sacrifices made. And there is backwardness on the part of many women in this country and part of the women as a whole in this backwardness we're going to face it's going to be overcome. Ah we're going to understand this backwardness from where comes from from the very from a true isolation from production and from the world woman set off especially middle class families. She set off into the house to to sit with the kids and sit with you know make dinner wash the dishes vacuum up afterwards. Now she going to get an overall picture of what's happened in the society her whole life for those kids. So if her whole life is the kids and her husband she's got to understand the revolution. So we're going to have to widen the perspective and it takes a struggle among the student activists to you find women afraid to speak up. It's true in the black and white not to such a great extent. Our sisters are struggling and participating in the political education classes assumes more and more taking a leadership
role. We have sisters who can show they can shoot as well as brothers. They're not sitting home with the baby. Yes there are. You got a baby with her. They're up there in the community out there doing field work. And the Sisters of the Black Panther Party. And I hope this is the rest of the movement. Of the rest of the united front against fascism. Follow the example of the Vietnamese women. Thank you. This is the example I'm going to follow. We're going to go on the officer. And we're going to take an advanced position we're going to fight backwardness and right on even the ME sisters. We're with you Ron. Thank you.
Thank. You no woman I have to correct myself. So you had a beautiful sister set up on that and that flew and got in here oh about a half ago from Los Angeles. Many of you are familiar with there my name is Sister Marlene Dixon from Los Angeles. So we'll follow the program and daughter the next sister will be Sister Carol Han re. Greetings revolutionaries. Brothers and Sisters. All oppressed people. Yes I said Brothers and Sisters men
and women. That sounds quite different from the animalistic terms that we often use to one another. Bitch slut. I can. Chip nanny go. And oh often times Khant brought home. For those of you. Whose vocabulary have advanced to that complexity of decadence. I want to talk to you I want to talk to you and I only have. The midterm. And I don't want any more provocative or stand up and when in that kind of garbage.
The acceptance of these crude terms. Not only by the socialistic man but by the woman herself is a clear indication that respect and objective estimation of one's character is lost lost in an avalanche of insecurities and subjective egotistical. Dispositions. Women. Women. Yeah all you women those of you even shouted out we are alienated alienated from the word go. We have been alienated from basic humane relationships humanitarian contact. We have been alienated from the Other Half Men. We have been alienated from our children from ourselves.
We have been separated by the TOS of this fascist government. The bloody TOS that have. Categorised us. And deprived us socially politically and economically and these are the same bloody too that oppressed us recently. Women. And especially white women who knew so little of the oppression. Women have been exploited mentally and physically by the color of this skin in the shape of their breasts. All I saw when I was a little girl was rosy cheeked straight haired white skinned blue eyed baby dolls and symbolize commercials. And from infancy this creating inside of me whitewashed criterions making me feel that if you're white you're right and if you're black get back.
This feeling of inferiority. Is just one aspect of alienation. And the other aspect is superiority. Both of these manifestations of struggle. A lot of the contradictions between the oppressed and the oppressors and society. These contradictions are expressed through racial antagonism. Among the demented Manzer races women. The struggle is in competition against other women. Castrated penis. Friends and women in particular. In unison We must let our battle cry be heard. We will no longer tolerate the arrogance separatism
and magnanimous distortions arising from any kind of discrimination or. Any kind of discrimination based on race color. Or vicious. Status classification classification all perpetrated by US government. Back them a bit. Pigs like Standard Oil Dupont and other private organizations to practice segregation. Deny free will of people. From politics right on down to the Howard Johnson toilet in Delaware. We must not forget to mention the ultra ultra
ultra reactionary pigs who Klux Klan as Minutemen broaches etc. you know the list will no longer. We will no longer tolerate. Fascist tactics to attain financed captures of the blood sweat and tears of the people. The big news is it is necessary any means necessary to explore to separate and conquer so we must pick up the weapons. Which will enable us to protect ourselves. People don't want murder. By. Any Means Necessary. And for you women. Who have not been waging an anti-fascist struggle. Yeah you
women who have not been waging anti-fascist struggle when your man is away from the community and the fascist pigs in a street beat your pregnant cha your mother or your father up. Harass in the streets of your own community. You women. Who are not waging an anti-fascist struggle who be at a loss will be at a loss simply because you have practised racism. Against. Black. White brown and yellow next door neighbor. Your neighbor who may be knowledgeable. Of anti-fascist technological. Practice. And you have alienated her. And when a pig is stamping on your child's gut. And you are not in history you will know what to do. And she will know who you are and you will not know who she is because you have through your own subjective mis practices racism.
And the only thing you can do is pick up the tingling telephone and call for another fascist pig. Come on down to your aid. But as we know it may be too late. As in the case of the coming Rector and cetera et cetera so forth and so on of killings and incarcerations when you get on down the street you'll find that your beloved beloved has been killed or taken off to die and you just in time sister have your Sweet head or your life taken. As comrade Karen Juday of Kenya once stated we are human. We deserve human rights. We must make it known to all that each of us is a requisite.
To the other's existence. Integrate yourself and I don't mean in a fascist Republic. Integrate yourself. In the struggle against. Fascism. The lines of demarcation have been clearly drawn between typical press and people. And as comrade Mao to song says. No sacrifice some out every difficulty and win win to victory. I must remind you. That there cannot be a successful struggle against fascism unless the broad masses of women are drawn into it. Either we form a united front against fascism. And courageously struggle to liberate
all press people. All be left. In a state of public service today and class degradation. And as a part of Sis's in particular I like to save Ms quickly quickly unite. Night conquer and combat the barbarous indignities of Elias lion with patience patience admiration is fascist pig. To liberate people all oppressed people. Down to race with discrimination. Down with the fascist pig oppress them. Long live the people's liberation struggle. Long live. To be. Thanks.
Thanks. Thanks.
