Collection Summary

The Higher Education Today Collection contains 95 episodes from 2013 through 2022, with each half-hour segment covering current topics, trends, and issues in higher education, such as academic freedom, affordable textbooks, and the state of history. Higher Education Today also aims to connect viewers to professors, students, and institutions involved in the world of higher education, including universities in the United States and around the world. Segments of Higher Education Today have been broadcast on UDC-TV (University of the District of Columbia), Prince George’s Community Television, Whitewater Community Television, Voice of America, Cape Town TV, and Romanian Public Television. Hosted by educational consultant and author Steven Roy Goodman, Higher Education Today has won seven education Telly Awards and three Excellence in Local Journalism Dateline Awards from the Society of Professional Journalists, Washington, D.C. Professional Chapter.
