- This episode of the series "Louisiana Legends" from January 21, 1999, features an interview with Faith Ford conducted by Gus Weill. Ford, a native of Pineville, is an actress best known for her role as Corky Sherwood on the television series "Murphy Brown." She discusses: growing up in Pineville; her interest in modeling as a teen; her fears of playing a leading role; her decision to move to New York; her early modeling career and eventual disillusionment with the profession; her audition for "One Life to Live"; her early reservations on her role in "Murphy Brown"; working with Candice Bergen; gaining the lead role in the sitcom "Maggie Winters"; the differing responsibilities of playing a lead role and being part of an ensemble; her advice to people interested in acting; her plans for the future; and the difficulties of memorizing scripts.
