This program is made possible in part by funds provided by Nebraska's for public television. Live from Xarbon Coliseum in Omaha, the 1982 Xarbon Coronation. It's a grand night for singing, featuring performers from the Omaha Community Playhouse, the Nebraska Coral Arts Society, the Voices of Omaha, and the Xarbon Orchestra conducted by Thomas Branigan. Your host for this evening is Sue Connelly, the 1981 Queen of Xarbon. Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to the 88th annual Xarbon Coronation, one of the largest and grandest passions of its kind in the nation. This evening we're gathered to pay tribute to a new raining monarch and his queen, whose identities will be revealed later this evening. During my own experience this past year as Xarbon Queen, I've had a rich and rewarding opportunity to meet many people across the state of Nebraska, and particularly to be woven into the web of support of citizens of Omaha. I found that
though the Kingdom of Kuvera may be considered to be a myth, the generous spirits that comprise the organization are for real. The theme of this year's Xarbon, which of course the reason why we're here tonight, is it's a grand night for singing, and indeed it is a grand night. The designs have been created by James Othus and the festivities are under the direction of Charles Jones at the Omaha Community Playhouse. We welcome you who might number among the 72 ,000 members of Xarbon to this grand event. It's a grand night for singing, the moon is
flying high, and so long, it's a grand night for singing, the stars are crying the bomb, the earth is a flower too, and to the show, I think I am falling in love, falling in love, falling in love, falling in love, falling in love, falling in love, falling in love, falling in love. It's a

and hallowed throne of Kuvera. Each fall we come to this palace of Kuvera for the traditional celebration of the harvest season. We come to offer our humble thanks for another fruitful year in this great legendary kingdom. Once again, we find an abundance of blessings for which to be grateful. In accordance with the laws of the realm so that we may publish and proclaim the state of the kingdom of Kuvera, welcome to our court, the ladies in their escorts, and crown this new king and queen of Exarban, who shall rule in this 88th year of our land.
