- "This entry, 'Mass Transit,' follows our coverage of the Mass Transit issue from a series of reports on the pros and cons of a proposal that went to the voters in August, through reports on a Conference on Mass Transit KERA-TV organized to seek common ground between the opponents and proponents of that proposal after it was defeated at the polls. "Segment #1 -- 'Lone Star Transit 1, 2, &3 -- Lengths: 9:19, 10:11, 10:08, aired 8/6, 8/7, & 8/8/80- These reports cover the pros and cons of various aspects of the regional transportation proposal before Dallas-Ft. Worth area voters on August 9, 1980. "Segment #2 -- '[Post-Election] Interview' -- Length 5:50, aired 8/11/80 -- A portion of a live studio interview with some of the principals involved in the pro and anti-regional transit campaigners after the proposer was voted down. "Segment #3 & 4 -- 'Transit Conference' -- Lengths: 27:00 each, aired 12/1, 12/2/80 (on tape #2) -- Reports on information gathered for a conference on mass transit and an audience participation program where viewers could question principals involved in the conference."--1980 Peabody Awards entry form.
