"'Prison of the Streets,' a 'KCET Journal' special report looks at a new weapon in the war against crime -- probation that includes intensive surveillance. The program shows how probation can turn the streets into a de facto prison for these career criminals. "This one-hour documentary takes a hard look at two innovative pilot programs that focus on intense supervision as a method for controlling the serious juvenile and adult offenders.
