Episode Description
The New Explorers follows Bill Kurtis as he travels to the Grand Bahama Island to speak to Dr. Jill Yeager. Jill studies underwater caves and has discovered a new species that has never been known before. She calls it the Rima Pedia, a small creature that lives in these deep underwater caves. Ever since discovering this new species, she has been studying it in great detail. Since the Rima Pedia has adapted to live in these deep, dark caves, they need a very specific environment once collected in order to be kept alive to be studied. Bill Kurtis follows Jill as she cave dives to collect the species for her research and he also dives to see sharks.
