- Description
- Episode Description
- This is raw footage for ¡Colores! #410 Schultis. A long-time student of the late John Cage, Chris Schultis is one of the foremost composers of contemporary percussion music in the country today. Having started as a performer, Shultis was stricken by an affliction that rendered him unable to use his right arm, thus ending his performing career. Because of this misfortune, Shultis turned to composition to enable him to stay in music. He discovered that composition was his calling, and went on to become a prolific composer. ¡Colores! explores his life as a performer and his transition into composition; a wonderfully human story about rising above personal tragedy and finding one's true calling in life.
