- An interview with Irma Boulet Darphin of Crowley, Louisiana, an Army Nurse with the 127th General Hospital during World War II. She discusses joining the Army; her voyage to England on the USS Mauritania; waiting for the D-Day invasion; crossing the English Channel to France; treating patients in France from bombed out ships, the Battle of the Bulge and American Prisoners of War; her positive interactions with German Prisoners of War at her hospital after Germany's surrender; having an appendectomy in France; meeting and visiting with her brother in France; and her return home. She also shares her photographs from World War II.
