The love of a killer. An introduction to the all new state model program Richards University filibuster on local television lecture all over the university will deal with the problem and the killer. In this child of a happier thing. And battles long ago is now covering the same thing. You may be wondering what sort of an ending it can have. Of course anything can just help but I am doing really to have an ending that something very different than the way the NBA takes this head of all this testifying for us which is a killer and brings the story of his rough to fall and rounded and this is one of the most remarkable things in all literature and if we think of the influence this and has had on the Cell match later when we have them all reason to match. Here's the story in
between the death of Hector and the return of his body to Troy. For rights of the burning on the past and bad you know what. A kid in his caddy that drags her body back to the Greek camp. Then the Greeks went to their ships. But the killing is on the mama duns the mama done for crying out loud in one voice with a kid drove 3 times round Patroclus body and it tastes just the dissatisfied Oh it's an appetite in the ad you see you lift up your voice. They saw the sadness and with that was so great.
They saw Joe fall and Achilles put his man killing hands on put to rest and said Be it where with us. Even in the House of Hades. Now I'm doing well and I told you I would do. I said I would drag Hector give him a rock to the dogs to eat and cut of 12 Gaudio Psalms of the Trojan. The boy off. And he gave shade treatment to hectare stretching him on his face in the dust before us. Then he made for his momma done a funeral piece to come put it in every way out about the body the blood of bulls pigs and sheep brand. Cars. And when they put out food and drink they had us read each man to his heart to take his rest. But the kidneys lay moaning about his mom a dentist by the side of the sounding sea in an open place where the waves washed in
and a deep sleep came upon him. Seeing the calves of his heart Valverde tad he was running off to hair Brown v. drawing. And then came to the US. It is tough but you know things like his livings in Hallman eyes and blue eyes and he was close to asking why he stood at Achilles had stead you and had no more thought for me Caylee is not in my life for you on behind me. Not now when my dad gave me to the fat house with Place the time I go in through the gates of Hades. The spirits keep me shades of man have no more to do and will not let me join them across the river.
And now you have me on hand in your pity for I will never come again from Hades to have given me my right and Achilles and said Why my brother. Why do you come to tell me all this. I will do all but stand and die tis but little. Let us throw out arms about one another for way to oust sought out peace. Jack his hand. But help him now for all of us like come this way and we know nothing. And her kidneys sprang up in wound his hands together crying. Even in the House of Hades the spirit or shade is something of a lie.
There's not a day but all night long this period to try to stood out for me moaning and telling me what to do and he was one of his living. Then they built the grate and put Patroclus body on it and many sheep and cattle they killed and skinned a bit and four strong horses and two of the nine house dogs but broke escaped they threw up power. Then Caylee is killed with his dog. That's right most of the Trojans. Those he had taken captive out of the river. Evo copies. How did I meet. And threw them up on the pad and I had a pot of gold and he said the
whale with you but croaked less even in the House of Hades. But now I'm doing all that I said. Twelve Braves sadness of the Trojans and all the years with the race heating but I have a problem. I do not get to the top. But no dogs could come. Aphrodite kept them from him day and night and she bought a lot of him and rose. I love roses so that his body would take no scratch when Achilles drank did so. They took less then each man went to his own ship thinking of his supper and sweet about that.
Kelly still talked with us of his dead friend and sleep over takes all good take no hold on him. He turned this way and that thinking of all they done together and all they've gone through in the walls along the I'm breasting see. And he just ran as he lay not on his side. Now on his back I'm not on his face and he would get to his feet and walk up and down hop out of his mind by the edge of the waves. And as dong came on the water he would take out his horses and chariots and drag it out again. And when he had dragged him three times around but close mouthed he would arrest his happy again. But he left out stretched out his face in the dust. But the gods had pity for Hector a nudge they used to take his body secretly away. This seemed good to the rest but knocked over to a
0 0 draw and Prime and his people as hateful to them as ever because of the sin of Paris. He had not taken that gift but that is when the goddesses came to issue. But on the twelfth morning up ahead. Cruel God saw has Hecht never thought of bulls. Have you no heart to save him dead though he is for his wife and mother and child and just piled up crime and his people but would bet on him in the file to give him his funeral. No it is a kidney if you would help a man who was out of his mind without pity all Shay and then his hot sherry which keeps man from wrongdoing and sometimes from better things to let him take care that we do not become angry with him for his shame
and being dead. And Zeus said that just to warn the kiddies that he must get back Hector's body to the Trojans and that it went from Olympus to ḥasan was she found in them moaning around in the mountains by getting the morning meal ready. They had killed a great world a sheet she sat down at his side and put her hand on his head and said. My child how long will you keep on the taking your time with sought out with those saw. I thought of Rudolph bass. Good for you would be a woman's I tell you of not long how to live. All right did dat on the wrong hand of a car. Yeah but take good note of this for I come from Zeus he says that the god said I am God with you.
And he mauled an old EMR close because you had shot the ships and have not given him back get him out now and take a ransom. But the dad and Achilles arm said so be it. Yet the ransom bring up. Take him away. Truly fair land. So all of us. And Zeus Santa ad is to try to go to Achilles with gifts in ransom to heck with gear to may get here in the land. And king among his son was made the ransom right there. He drove with his families with his stick and shouted hard words to the to hell enough to pass the day and the rest. Quick
now doing nothing. Children that are my shape that you would all be killed in Hector's place. I'm not happy that I am. I had the best sons in all drawing. Now I'm not one of the best left not Nightmist not the brave charioteer. Not that God or man man you would have thought he was a name or sob and he is so skilled there. Me I don't need these things up shame bounce up don't lie to feel you got out of that don't rob us of our own people sheep. Will you not get me that when I get ready and put these things on it so time a start. And sand guy and his agent had no idea and needs a lot of us go down to his beautiful
sandals in Markell and which candidate has just the way and and he took the rod with which he shuts man's eyes in sleep. Opens them when they're sleeping and he came quickly to try and undone the Hellespont he looked like a young prince Farris with the bin coming on his face. Now in private the IDSA driven by the great mound of alephs they stopped at the river for the horses to drink. Night had calmed down over the head I looked and saw how nice now to ten he said to him we must think what to do now Prime. I see a man getting ready to attack us. My in the chariot. Part of police on his knees and pray. But when he had this man was greatly afraid it has stood on end. He did not know what to do about that help came out and took him by the hand. Stay where
you are going with there will be a more night when the thing well you're not afraid of the cruel Greeks who are so near. If one of them saw you taking so much treasure out through with Black Knight What would you do then you're not young yourself and your friend. Yeah it is too old to say Do not be afraid of me. I'll even come to your defense if need be. Well you look to me like of my own father. Dad your guide at play. So saying the have passed grabbing on to the chair at it behind the horses and took that with the reins. They came to the ditch which got at the ships as the watchers were getting their supper ready and how me sent them all over to the An open the gates and brought crowd and his wagon of treasures. Then they came to the high roof which the mounted M
had made of cheese. And so. Came to Achilles up there drifted with grass and put rounded to what I'd call in with ticks takes the gate held by a great bottle. This took three of the Greeks to put it in place. Three of the other week but the kiddies would drive it home by himself. He's opened this man and brought in his glorious gift. But Achilles and he stepped down from the chariot and said. It is immortal. Hermes who came with you from my father sent me. Now I will go back and machine back to leave but go in to the sound of Pete you take his knees and your hands and pray him by his father his fat head mounted on his child. So you made him.
Then Mays went back to high alert but left Didache to the whole system and went straight into a house that he found a kitty with the madams automaton. Now see a mouse waiting up on him. I clearly said made an end of eating and drinking the table still stood by his side. Came in without being seen and went and took at Caylee's knees in his hand. OK Katie had that terrible hands the kid. So many of his arms and Achilles wound. She saw him on the other wound and looked at another man Prime said in prayer thing. Oh God. The kiddies of even those I am and
the sad go away of age. It may be that those who live near him trouble him but he has no one to keep in destruction from him. Still when you hear that you are living. He is happy and hopes. Day after day to see his son come home from China. But how. I'm happy I am my sons were the bravest in all of Troy and not one of them is alive. And so they have been the bravest have that by himself God they try and have people killed. But now as he fought for his country. So I have come to the Greek ships to wave his body back with a ransom too great to be counted. ACHILLES. Yeah they're going to happen. Think of your own father. Take pity on me. I'm to be hated Ethan than he is. But
I have made nice. So do what no man has done. I have stretched out my hand to the day he killed. So Prime's head and in the kidneys he awakened to doso allow for his father. He took the old man's hands and gently pushed him from him. And but to sorrowed bitterly I try not to Caleys the thought and killing and the killer is out and now again up with less and less of that moaning went up through the house but when Achilles had had enough of soldering and a disaster for it to go on from his house and got a piece rang from his seat and lifted the man by his hand
picked his wife's head and snowy bed. Then he said. Happy Man man. You all saw those today. How did you have the heart to come by also to the Greek ships to meet guys. I have killed many of your brave sons who are truly a mouse but they seated and we saw those big cloud. But I have put off a phone moaning will not help us. The gods have the thread for us this way. So they didn't pay in or we will die. But they themselves are without sorrow to stand on the floor to Zeus and won on good gifts and then the other and the man for whom Zeus Lord of the sun and makes is the gate of the sands that man will meet now with details. Now with good about the man to whom he gives only his evil gifts gently over the face of the sacred.
On either by God or man. To my father Peter the gods were good in this so they made him king over the mountains and though he was but a man they gave him a goddess to be his wife. But even the naysaying de Ville. They gave him a list they had to die and I cannot take any care of him if he goes over but must stay here out in trial and for my own country troubling you and your children and you too. We were happy in times past but in Dan Evans said they see it up on that wall and dad but I found your city about give it up pay and then your hot sun Rast soldering fall sun will not make him live again before that some out of evil will come up on you. Then ran on to say
not to me. Hailey's be arrested while I tell lies that I had among them. It's getting back to me quickly and let me look upon him and do you take the great ransom we give. May you go back safe country and be happy because you have let me live and see the light of the sun about with I a soft play with footed Achilles arms and give me no more old man. I mind it myself to get picked up back to thaw from Zeus the web came to be about my mouth about thatis doctor of the man of the sea. And well do I know prime but it was not without the help of the gods that you came here.
No mortal man however strong and God would be right enough I'll be able to push back the Bhagavad gate. So move my heart or I may still be seen against the will of Zeus and not even here under my roof with UBS paid for all your prayers and the man was afraid and seated himself by the kiddies like a lamb sprang to the door of the house and with him went all Tommy down and out the most nearest of all to his now the. But just as they had and they loose the horses from Priam's car and took IDSA and gave him a seat. They did the rounds down from the wagon but they left off and to cover us so that the killer could
have the body in them. But he sent it back to try and Achilles made the women take Hector's body aside and wash and put oil on it keeping it how to do. On seeing it might cry out to his but US auto and not heed his anger and Achilles himself then had been moved to anger and hit him and sin against the will of two. Then he feasted and when they had bought from them the desire of food and drink and pride tapped out and wound up at the kiddies. Seeing how beautiful he was and tall and the killer looked at one wound noting his kingly and when dad ordered up on one another so Prime's head.
Okay me now to my bad. Oh OK so the sweets may give us brass. My eyes have not been shot from the day on which hams took my son's life. Now I have tasted food and drink it all day and nothing. And Achilles gave orders to put bad news on the front top of the roof with purple coverings of wool and women with lights in their hands quickly made the beds ready and the kiddies said to cry Oh rest here but take care that no chief of the Greeks sees you. If one of them saw you in the swift black night you might tell Agamemnon. And then we might have to wait before giving back the dead.
How many days do you need to head for how long must I keep back the Greeks and the man God black crime on said You know how narrow if we are shocked within the city and how far off the wood on the mountain is and the church rooms. I'm much afraid. Give us nine days in which the shadow of a hectare and on the tenth we will give him to the fifth and let the people feast on the 11th. We will build the mound of a hymn and on the twelfth night again if we must. And Achilles said to him all this would be as I have said I would hope back the battle for as long as you want.
So saying he took the man's right hand in is to keep him from anything. And they went to their rest. And the head lay in the front part of the house with why. So how. About the kiddies in the room with pace but Isaiah's at his side. So came to his funeral and try and tell you my love for sis. - Episode Description
- In this eighth and final episode, "Professor and Lowell Television Lecturer at Harvard University" I. A. Richards reads from books twenty-three and twenty-four of his abridged translation of the Iliad, The Wrath of Achilles. Richards begins by commenting on the ending of the Iliad, its considerable influence on subsequent poetry and prose. He quickly picks up the action where he left off, with Achilles dragging Hector's body back to the Greek camp and addressing the corpse of Patroclus. The gods debate Achilles's actions and mediate Hector's return to Troy. Priam meets with Achilles and retakes Hector's body. The series ends with the reading; there is no additional commentary by Richards. Summary and select metadata for this record was submitted by John Marx & Mark Cooper.
