. . . . This is a good character. You know what I'm saying? They mounted. Yeah. You're harming here. What is that? I can help you out. I'm running. I'm running. I'm running. I'm running. I'm running. All right. Shane.
Mary Smith, Jeff king. arm studies, guarantees. Aristotle has always been the ones that just make a difference. Are we going to have to get there? and where you place. It's also for the angry media of the resources they're going to do and it's the time to be in the area. That's what you're talking about. He didn't believe that. He didn't believe that. Hard to go to that. Good. Good. Good.
Good. Okay. Good. That was before the snow or after the snow. It was that smooth. It looked like a race and course for ice skates.
You already have the same thing we had in the mail trail last year? Primarily. Pretty much the same team. Got to go to the show like a pass, a living dog team instead of one that crashed and burned. We're going to finish it by the banquet. Okay. Well, good luck. It's actually a little better than I expected. It's typical Bethel trail. No doubt about that. It's kind of always surprises you. I was just telling Janet, you know, the lady were standing with their shoot. We're out there grooming our trails, filling in moose holes and stuff and then you come over here and you go, these guys really run dogs on this but that's the way it is. Yeah, he'll be a fast race, I'd say. Yeah, the same team had last year. Well, I think there's eight, eight possibly nine of the same dogs. I brought nine with me. I'm going to run eight of them for sure. So there's a few different ones. There's a couple dogs that I had like in 85 that didn't come last year that are here this year.
So it's changed around somewhat. But, you know, there's eight that were there. They all finished, of course, you know. Mainly the ones that I dropped last year. I didn't bring back this year. You know, I replaced them with some different ones. So it should be a better team than I had. That's what I'm hoping. It looks like there's a lots of competition going to need a real good team. Yeah. I think it's going to be a fast race. If this weather stays cold and yeah, no snow, I'd say you bet. Probably a record record will be sad. I would guess. I don't know. We'll see what happens. But it looks like a very fast race to me. Yeah. Thanks, Dr. Buck. What's your chances in this coming race on Thursday? That I never answered that question. That may be good. How about the trail? Have you looked at it and is it pretty icy out there? It looks icy. Right. River doesn't have any snow on it. But I've seen. You think there's going to be some records broken in a fast this time? Yeah. I think it's going to be a good one.
I think it's going to be a good one. I think it's going to be a good one. I think it's going to be a good one. I think it's going to be a good one. Yeah. I think there's going to be some records broken in a fastest time. Yeah. That's hard to say. It should be a fast trail, though. What do you want to do? What's your strategy coming into the race? No answer on that. No answer. He's going around the course. How about the field here? It's a pretty top notch field here? Yeah. It is. It's a real competitive field. It's heavy for the first three places for sure. You look forward to coming to the race every year then? Yeah. I like coming out here. This is a good race. It's a world-class event. Dog mushrooms. What's so special about the race that brings you out every year? Well, one thing is the purse. Generally, you've got a really good mark trail. It's a real competitive field. I don't know. I just like the race out here. How about your team?
How are they shaping up? Any injuries? Is your dogs running where you expect them to be at right now? Well, I've got a new team. I haven't familiarized myself with all these dogs. I'm going to the editor right later on this year. I think that I'm going to learn something here from the dogs. Hopefully no surprise is that. I hope not. Should be good. Is there any particular point on the trail where you really have to be careful at or anything like that, where do you think you're going to be in good shape at the race? Like third after the first day or tell me where do you think you know where you feel comfortable you might be able to win the race? I'm not sure. I'm really not sure. Where I feel uncomfortable is I'm just always worried about kind of getting lost. But they mark the trail real good and it's a little bit different coming back in this year than it's been the last two years. It's just my third time here and it's a little different coming back in. And I just hope it's marked real good like they've always had. Would you like to be the rabbit in the race or would you like to come from behind and overtake the leader?
No, I'd just like to be traveling with the front. All right. Good luck to you. Thanks a lot. Thank you. Thank you. What kind of team you have that you have a couple of teams from your kennel out here which one are
you running? Well, they're both mixed. We left one team at home and then brought two and David's running a lot of the dogs that are running in, possibly running in quest and I'm running a lot that I might be running in. I did a ride. We're trying out a lot of new dogs. I think out of the group I've only got maybe three dogs out of both teams that have ever been to Bethel before. These different dogs for a race like this than you would on the end. No, it's just that there's some sure bets for I did a ride and so they don't need to come down here. So we left a lot of them at home and we brought the ones that we want to find out what they do on a long run. How do you think the race is going to be this year as far as speed? I'm hoping it's going to be real fast. It looks like it and I don't know.
We'll just have to see but if it stays like this, it's going to be fast. Okay, thanks. Good luck. Yeah, I'm getting a little tired of that second place, gust go finish but we'll have to see the river. Okay, thanks. Thank you for the recognition. Thank you for the recognition. We appreciate it.
Public radio for the Yukon and Cusco from Delta remember that. The National Indian Health Board boards and they will be presented by Mr. Joe Lomack. I'm going to talk about the National Indian Health Board. I'm going to talk about the National Indian Health Board. I want to talk about the National Indian Health Board. don't bloody fuck usmonkey.
They should be on your We are going to seek friends for our next meeting, to make money from Canada. We are now to meet the community, But he's a long-back, praised Jesse for doing good work with our people.
He makes them understand. He explains what he is doing. It both is a new big and English and makes people understand with what he does for the award tool. APPLAUSE Then on the YK, I certainly have to have it to accept this award. When I came in here, I sort of kind of knew who was getting some awards. And when I saw Joe, I told him, Joe, he'll go again.
It's been a pleasure working for YK, and I thank other people who supported me over the years. It's been quite a good year for me to YK, thank you. APPLAUSE Thank you very much. Thank you very much.
Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Thank you.
Thank you very much, and I don't know what else to say. What I'm going to read is going to be too far away from William, so I read it up at the paper. I would like to do one thing first, hard act to follow with all these fine people out here,
performing so well, doing their jobs so well, and it makes me feel better than small, I know that I'm just a small part of this whole team that works to help people help you across the Delta. I want to share with you a little of our appreciation for an individual who has been certainly an influence on me. Let's not forget, in her groups ever wider, those now famous community care providers. To show just a smidgen of how much we can all care, in case you need it, and if you dare, we gladly do our bit to swap your throat with Blair. Or if your ears fill up a wax, or it would become infected, call on a limb, for all the facts, or just to get inspected,
or if you're having trouble with your eyes seeing double, take your problem of sight to lie for new contexts, don't make it right. There's a lot more to say, I'm sure we can do, if you need us, don't delay, we'll be glad to help you. Mary will the water, we want you to know, we greatly appreciate how you helped us all grow. We'll miss your scrawly notes, memos, and reminders, and your stalwart support you put there behind us. When we needed help, you were always there, you listened, were astute, honest and fair, our health director extraordinaire. One thing you sure are clear to see, for all your people and others at YKHC, Mary will the water you've got integrity. I'm going to have to work out the patent rights with Chris after the meeting here.
But, Kathy is the one that really put up, and if you look a little closely at it, it has a few tournaments tacked on, so. I don't know, does everyone want me to review what's hanging on the bush? Okay, we'll do, Kathy, to do that. There's one thing Mary's always taught us, she says, always be ready to change, because nothing ever works out the way you want it to. So, we had these green friends of having a three-foot tree. Well, Monday, we found out that the guy who was going to send us the tree sold it to somebody else. So, we said, okay, Donna, no problem, just get some flowers.
And so, it's supposed to be a big, bushy type of flowers, because I said, we want to hang things on it. She said, okay, fine, and she coming back, it's ordered, it'll be here. And yesterday, I called her, and I said, I need the tree. She says, well, I have some bad news, she says, I don't know where it is. And so, you know, I was thinking, well, if nothing happens, a Bethel tree would work. But Mary, you don't have to use this Bethel tree, because Donna came to my house about ten of six tonight with this. Each one of the programs that Mary's supervisors has provided something to hang from the tree. There are eyeglasses, eardrops, and eardrops. A little first aid man. A sign that says chute boogie. A key ring from community care providers.
Contact men's food bottles. And there are a couple other little things hidden on the top. One is a baby from MCH, and the other one's from family planning.
