- Description
- After many years as a side man, playing drums for some of the best bands and singers in America, Jack Mitchell organized his own 15-member big band in order to play the kind of music he wanted to present to the public- solid danceable and listening music. Mitchell has twice taken big bands to Washington, D.C., to play for Presidential Inaugural Balls. His Big Band has won the Ozark Music Award as best swing/jazz band. This versatile organization presents a wide range of music from beautiful ballads to waltzes, Latin, and swing. For this program, all the music will be from the WWII era and will be part of AETN's "The War" programming.
